XY Chromosome Sundae:Columbus Short

Columbus Short is an actor, dancer and choreographer. GODAMN, he's fine as hell, very handsome guy and sexy. Check him out hanging with his friend Zoe Saldana. They've starred in one or two movies together. I can't wait to see Columbus in the new Julius Onah film The Girl Is in Trouble. It's a murder mystery and sounds intriguing.

Beautifully Crazy

Fashion Spotlight:Zoe's Harlem Renaissance

Actress Zoe Saldana's Harlem Renaissance shoot for Vanity Fair. I love the Harlem Renaissance, the writers, musicians and artists of that period. I love that people felt empowered and started such an important cultural movement during a very difficult period in history.

Watch List:Tyrannosaur

Tyrannosaur is the directorial debut film from fantastic actor Paddy Considine. There are no dinasaurs in this film so if you're looking for that sort of movie, this isn't it. The film is about the human condition and centers on the complex relationship between a self loathing alcoholic and an abused charity shop worker. It's a raw exploration of humanity and Considine apparently steers clear of making snap judgements as the layers of the main protagonists are revealed. It's getting amazing reviews with some touting it as a masterpiece. I'm off to see it soon. This is so great for actor/director Paddy Considine. He's been a quiet, secret weapon in the film industry for years and it's really good to see him have this success.

Director's Cut:Paddy Considine

Paddy Considine is one of my favourite actors, he's such a magnificent, powerful actor and one of the most underrated performers out there. I remember seeing him in In America alongside the mesmerizing Samantha Morton and Dead Man's Shoes. Both performances blew me away and for years I wondered why more people didn't talk about him but I guess it's because he likes to do small, independent films rather than mainstream stuff. If you haven't seen either of the films mentioned, rent them asap. Paddy also starred in Submarine. Dead Man's Shoes is arguably the best Shane Meadows film in my opinion. Paddy has turned his ridiculously talented hand to directing and his directorial debut Tyrannosaur is getting rave reviews, it looks brilliant and I cannot wait to see it.
