The Double Life Of Veronique
I'm addicted to the films of late polish film director Krzysztof Kieslowski. He just made deeply human, affecting films that haunt you long after you've seen them. The Double Life Of Veronique is no exception. The film follows two identical women, Weronicka in Poland and Veronique in France. They share personality traits and seem to be aware of each other on some level. Apart from a brief sighting through a bus window in Krakow, they never meet. Both roles are played by Irene Jacob. She's really beautiful and has the ability to display so much emotion without saying a word. Great film.Weird Et Al Humdinger:Hitman Falls For Intended Victim, Fakes Death With Ketchup.
Hitman Carlos Roberto de Jesus from Brazil was paid to murder Iranildes Aguiar Araujo after housewife Maria Nilza Simoes was convinced she was having an affair with her husband. But Carlos was unable to go through with the hit after falling in love with Aguiar immediately, he confessed to her and they hatched a plan to fake her death using ketchup and collect the money. You can see the knife is in her armpit, how Maria didn't recognise the ruse immediately beggars belief. Brilliant.Unusual Travel Musts
